The spelling at the top of the post leads me to ask, did you kat take these photos, and then post them?
By the way, that is a most excellent drawing of an M-4. Mine is a S&W M&P15 OSR, what kind is yours? Are you a pencil artist, or is that computer art? Nice job, either way!
Scott that is a pic of my AR. I just fooled around with the the exposure, contrast, and color, etc. If you enlarge it and look at the rounds in the mag you can see that it is a pic. A pic of a S&W. M&P.

Yours is an M&P-15R, isn't it? In 5.45X39 Russian?
Yup, My FFL buddy got one and convinced me that the cheap ammo was the way to go. Ballistically, it's pretty comparable to .223, and so I bought one. You just have to be sure and keep a nice stockpile of ammo.
Must be nice to be able to afford an EOTECH.
Eotech was a birthday present from my boys. Sort of a college expense rebate.
Our local gun dealer, since over the years, I have bought 3 ARs, ( 1 Match Grade Colt, an M&P 15-22, and an M&P-15 OSR ), from hin, he says that later this year, he should be able to get me the EOTECH I want for the OSR at cost + $20.00. It will still be over $400.00. EEK! Still, one puts decent sights on a decent gun. At least it isn't an ACOG I am having to cought up for.
I had never been around holographic optics before. Always hunting scopes or iron sights. But I'm sold on the eotech for fast close shooting. Really quick acquisition with both eyes open.
On Thursday night, I changed the batteries in the Aimpoint on my M&P-15-22. I have read how the green LED is less hard on your night vision than the red one, so i thought, it's 3:00 AM, lets see if that is true. I turned the stereo on, so I would have something to listen to, and turned off the lights.
After about 10 minutes, I picked up the rifle, turned on the sight, and looked down the tube. All I could see was the green dot. OK, it IS pretty dark, so I pressed the LED switch on the tactical light on the fore end. Now I could see the doorknob on a closet, down the hall. I put the green dot on the knob, but it didn't seem right, so I made a few adjustments to the LED dot settings, but it still seemed like the dot just didn't look right, almost like I was seeing it through a wall of something.
I then squeezed the grip on the tactical light, which turned on the halogen light. Now I could see everything in the 1000 lumen halogen beam, but the dot still didn't look right. I sat there, having turned the lights back on in the room, and gave the sight a good, hard look, and said to myself, " I shall make this one final adjustment, and if that does not do the job, back to Aimpoint this accursed device goes". Fortunately, taking off the front lens cap did seem to cure the problem.
